Hello Friends!! I hope all of you have been having a lovely summer. I’m still in denial that July is over. School shopping and finding that new routine is here and I AM NOT READY. We have had such a busy summer and I didn’t read near as much as I wanted to this month. Honestly, I didn’t really have time to read at all. My TBR has stacked up even more and I am hoping with summer being over (as sad as I am to say that)  I will be able to read more.

Since I didn’t finish any books, (other than the Unfinished Fairytales Series by Aya Ling) lets talk about all the ones I STARTED in July. Do you guys ever do this? I used to be a one book at a time kinda gal, but now not so much. It will be the death of me. I will start a book and not really feel it and I look over at all these other books that I have been wanting to read and decide I’ll try one of those. Then I do it again and again and all of a sudden… WHAM! I’m reading like 10 books at a time. When really I would get through them faster if I would just stick with one book start to finish. This month was weird. I was participating in a Classic’s challenge but I only had time to read and night and it was hard reading the classics. I’m not used to writing and I really had to concentrate to understand what was going on. I found myself rereading pages. Night time reading is not good when you have to concentrate. I am already tired! So they just put me to sleep. Then I would start something I was interested in to then feel guilty I wasn’t sticking to the challenge. I also have a few books given to me for honest reviews that need to be my top priority. Needless to say I have started too many books and now feel overwhelmed.

I’m going to list all those I have started and you WILL be seeing these reviews shortly. I am going back to my method of reading start to finish and then writing my review. Since I am playing catch up I hope all of you who subscribe and follow my blog won’t be annoyed if I am posting more than once a week. Just until I am caught up. I guess you could say these are a sneak peak of the reviews you will be seeing soon! Thanks for reading!

  1. Haha, reading some of those classics at night would be impossible for me-I’m pretty sure my brain stops functioning after 8pm. While I do read multiple books at a time usually, it’s usually one new book and one reread. Also, I usually split them between a physical book and an audiobook. But my summer reading has been incredibly “slumped”. Both too busy and unable to concentrate. I’m behind on my Goodreads challenge which stresses me out. I am hoping to read Violet Grenade this month and I’ve read Northanger Abbey so I’ll be on the lookout for your thoughts on those.

    1. I’m glad I’m not the only one behind on my goodreads challenge. I really hope that once things get back into a routine I’ll be reading like I usually do. The month of July has been a total killer.. haha!
