First of all I am sorry I have been a MIA lately. Forgive me! I haven’t been reading at my usual speed because of all sorts of things. Mostly, we just bought a house and we will be moving (just down the street) next week. I am hoping once we get settled I can really dig in and catch up on all the reading I missed this month.

Secondly, READ THIS BOOK. It took me a minute to get into it. I was distracted but then.. I was INTO it. It begins with Emily at the hospital. She is the lone survivor of high school trips plane crash into the Amazon. To deal with the trauma, her therapist tells her to write her story down. To process it all and help it make sense. As Emily is telling the story, she goes from the Amazon to her past at school. So you are jumping around a timeline a little bit but I liked it. It added enough info to how the kids were at school and their relationships with each other.

I got to the end and about died. I loved how the author wrapped it up. I don’t want to spoil anything because it surprised me. I should have seen it coming but I didn’t. I have been thinking and considering it all day. The thought that was put into this book was pretty thorough. I felt like they were teenagers, with teenage problems. Teenage worries. Teenagers trying to make it out if the jungle alive. It was a pretty intense read. When it comes down to survival in the middle of the jungle, there are no rules. Who would you become to survive?

Thanks for reading!
