Break into the notorious Ice Court

Retrieve a hostage
(who could unleash magical havoc on the world)

Survive long enough to collect his reward

I now understand what all this fuss is about. G R I S H A V E R S E. I started out listening to Six of Crows on Audible. It was wonderful. Each chapter that was a different character was done by a different narrator. I loved it.. and couldn’t wait to finish it so I bought it and finished it with my eyes. I just couldn’t listen fast enough.

The whole Dregs gang are my new loves. I LOVE them. I’m sorry. I just finished and I am totally going all fan girl on you guys. Everyone I know has read these books. I see the fan art and fandom goodies every where and I think I was afraid it wouldn’t live up to the hype and so I stayed away. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER.  Honestly.. why did I do this to myself?  Why?

I don’t want to spoil anything.. obviously. Kaz Brekker is just on top of his game.. and I’m not going to lie.. I am a little in love with him. Inej and Nina are both amazing .. talk about girl power. .. and Jesper and his gambling and Waylen and his smarts and their crazy criminal lives and this huge job with this amazing payout but they might all die and.. omg. YOU GUYS. I can’t even. I literally have no words that will make any sense. Not any that I can say without spoiling this whole book because once I start I won’t be able to help myself.

I will say this. I love Inej. The Wraith. She has overcome so much. She is strong and brave but also speaks her mind and has her fears. She will settle for nothing less than she deserves and I love that. Nina too. Nina and her sweet tooth. Her loyalty. Her passion for life. All the character have lovable qualities and they are all the worst kind of criminals in the Barrel. In Ketterdam. The city sounds awful. They all have their own things going on but are such a great team. They work together to get the job done, but not without sacrifice and some loss. I about died at how this one ends. I wanted to scream. I’m pretty sure my eyes were not blinking. I couldn’t blink. I was so nervous and I still am. I need to get the second book!

I hope this is still considered a decent review.. even tho I just rambled on and couldn’t spit out one coherent sentence. My review comes down to this: if you like young adult fantasy. .. Six of Crows = READ IT.

Also, if you couldn’t tell I love FRIENDS. It was a fun finding only Friends gifs. I am watching the series.. AGAIN.

Thanks for reading!
