Happy Birthday day to ME, Happy Birthday to ME, Happy Birthday dear WHITNEEEEEEEE! Happy Birthday to ME!
I couldn’t ask for a better birthday. There are so many new releases that I am looking forward to this month. The weather is perfect, warm but rainy and the flowers are blooming! Maybe turning 30 won’t be as bad I thought?
Today is the RELEASE of The Luck of the Bride. I was fortunate enough to receive the first two books of this series from the author and a book tour BUT I was also able to snag this beauty on NetGalley. Isn’t the cover GORGEOUS? And can I just say that it was everything I hoped it would be? Janna did another fantastic job of pulling me immediately into the story. The world and characters that have been created are so easy to fall in love with.  I honestly couldn’t put it down.
This book I felt focused more on family. In the other books you realize that family is important but this one you get the feel of how much Miss March has sacrificed for her family. When her parents die and she is left in charge until her baby brother grows into his Viscountcy, she gives up all of her dreams and focuses on her siblings. .. until the money is gone and the only money to be had is their dowries, which she can not touch. Or maybe she can, if she is okay with breaking the law and forging some documents. Maybe no one will notice? WRONG. He does notice. .. and then he notices EVERYTHING. He sees the poverty and all she has sacrificed and falls just a little bit in love with her. After Micheal takes the Lawson family under his wing things seem to be looking up until circumstances force Micheal and March to be honest and vulnerable with each other and they might not be able to do that. Or can they?
Like I said, I loved this story. March is a very strong young lady. She is brilliant with numbers and always looked after her family. The loss and struggle just had your heart breaking and the hope that Micheal would be able to trust her and take care of her just kept you reading till the very end.
I saw that there is another Cavensham Heiress book coming out in December and I am looking forward to it! I recommend this series! If you love a good romance, complete with deep and moving characters and a little bit of hot and steamy then read the first two books and then this one! I loved it!
