I just adored the first of the Wild Wicked Highlanders series! I am a sucker for a good Scottish romance! Let me just tell you the little idea behind this series…

Rugged Scottish Angus MacTaggert, Earl of Aldriss, has no money and goes to London to find a lass that does. Meets stunning Francesca Oswell at a masked ball and they fall in love. He stole her away to Scotland where they had 3 sons and 1 daughter. Aldriss Park prospered but Francesca wanted to spend more time in London. Angus refused to let her take his sons but agreed to let the daughter go. Francesca reluctantly agreed but since she had all the money power she came up with conditions of her own: All three boys must marry before their sister, they must wed proper Englishwomen, and at least one of them must marry someone of her choosing. If not she would not put anymore money into the estate.

This book begins with a letter with the news that their baby sister Eloise is engaged. Angus tells the boys what this means exactly and they (very angrily) go to London to meet the woman that left them. As Francesca sets up the eldest son to the woman of her choice, his stubbornness only puts his younger, more easy going brother in the middle of his affairs. What begins as trying to keep to their word to this silly contract ends up helping Niall find his perfect woman. The only thing in his way is that she isn’t intended for him. The way it all came together was really great! I felt like it was a romance of substance. Sometimes I feel like I read so many that they all are too similar. This one definitely stood out! Had lots of humor and the writing was fantastic. I can’t wait to read the next one!

Thanks for reading,

xoxo.
