This Earl of Mine by Kate Bateman

The first book in a new Regency romance series, an heiress and a rogue accidentally end up in a secret marriage of convenience.

In a desperate bid to keep her fortune out of her cousin’s hands, shipping heiress Georgiana Caversteed marries a condemned criminal in Newgate prison. The scoundrel’s first kiss is shockingly heated, but Georgie never expects to see her husband again. Until she spots him across a crowded ballroom. Notorious rogue Benedict Wylde never expected a wife. He was in Newgate undercover, working for Bow Street. To keep their marriage of convenience a secret, Wylde courts Georgie in public, but the more time they spend together, the more their attraction sparks. Could an heiress with the world at her feet find happiness with a penniless rake?

Hello again my lovelies! I read my fair share of romance. I LOVE love. If there is no love interest, then I am not interested. With the romance genre (especially the historical romance) I find that since I have read so many sometimes I feel like I am reading the same books over and over. It has become hard for them to be original. I still love them but they just don’t impress me, if that makes any sense.

I would like to announce to you all that I LOVED this one. The story was different. I absolutely adore Ben. He might be my new book boyfriend. I shipped Ben and Georgie from the very beginning. This book pulled me right into its pages and I enjoyed this little world of love and adventures so much! If you need a little getaway into a London regency romance then read this one! I don’t give romances like these 5 stars very often but I loved the story and want to read it again. That is the difference between a 4 star and a 5 star rating. As soon as I finished it I wanted to start over. This is the start of new series and you bet I will be excited to read the next in the Bow Street Bachelors series! Happy reading!

xoxo,

  1. I love historical romance and haven’t read this author yet – which seems like a complete loss on my part. I can’t wait to give this a try. What is your favourite historical romance series?

    1. I have so many!!! 😁 I love Julia Quinn’s ‘Bridgeton’ series and Lisa Kleypas ‘Wallflower’ series. Honestly I think I have read every book by those two authors. They are my favorite! Also look up ‘The Cavensham Heiresses’ by Janna MacGregor. Hope that gives you some new ones to try!! Any recommendations for me?

      1. Thank you for the recommendations! I adore the Wallflower and Bridgerton series ❤ I haven't tried any books by Janna Macgregor yet though, so I'll definitely give her a go! Have you tried Tessa Dare's Spindle Cove and Castles ever after? I also really love Sarah MacLean's Love by Numbers and everything by Julie Garwood ❤ Happy reading!
