Hello readers!! It has been one hot minute (more like months) but I have a few reviews for you all. I hope you have all been reading and enjoying it. Since school started for the kiddos things have been busy. I thought when school got out that I would have all summer for reading and that wasn’t the case. Then I thought when the kids are back in school I’ll have time for more reading and so far… well.. I have been BUSIER. Insert sad puppy dog face here.
Onto ‘The Dirty Book Club.” This book ended up being so hilarious. I really wasn’t sure what I had gotten myself into when I started it. It is not Erotica. I swear. This book is a story about friendships and staying true to yourself. The Dirty Book Club starts with four women back in the 60’s who were best friends. The kind that could tell each other everything. They created a safe place to talk about absolutely everything and anything they wanted. They made a pact and when it finally comes time to keep their sisterhood promises they leave the club to four new women.
The story line follows M.J as she leaves New York and moves in with her handsome Doctor boyfriend. Its a culture shock for her. She is figuring things out as well working on herself. She meets Gloria her new neighbor and that is how she ends up a part of the “club.” As each new recruit has their own problems they realize they need each other. They all start out hating each other, or misunderstanding and judging each other. This one has all the feels! I truly enjoyed it and I was sad when it ended.
