Hello lovelies! Gosh I’m just so excited to be writing a post! It’s been a rough few months for me but as I was sitting in my book room looking at my shelves and admiring some of my favorite series, I was trying to decide which was my favorite. As you can guess I couldn’t pick just one. I’m going to list them out. I’ll try and do least to most favorite but ultimately they made the list because I love them. I will do this post in 2 parts: Part 1 will be older series that I still love to read over and over. Part 2 will be more recent releases. I’m only including book series that are completed.
Here we go.
10. Cassandra Clare’s ‘Mortal Instruments’ Series
I loved this series. The first 3 books are my favorite. I was so excited for the movie and that turned out HORRIBLE. I heard the TV show was better but I haven’t watched it. It’s a young adult fantasy series, which are my favorite. The characters are lovable and their connection and interactions in the series makes you feel all the feels. It’s action packed with plenty of mystery and romance. I enjoyed the ShadowHunter world. Cassandra Clare has two more series out that I have NOT read. I know.
#9 Christopher Paolini’s ‘Inheritance Cycle’
This series is one my husband made me read. It was also jammed packed with fantastical adventures. This is one everyone can enjoy. Tweens to adults! I honestly felt like I was riding dragons with Eragon and Arya. I have been wanted to reread this series soon. I remember the first time I read it and I could not put it down.
#8 Stephanie Meyer’s ‘Twilight’ Saga
This series was my first Paranormal read. I know. I read mostly romances in my teens. When a friend recommend Twilight and told me what it was about I told her it didn’t sound like something I was interested in. I tried it anyway and of course I loved it. Then I read all the paranormal romances I could get my hands on! I recently re-read this series and I feel like the books are still so good. The movies are no where near as amazing. It took a reread to remember why and how much I love these. Vampires and werewolves and Bella Swan.
#7 Marissa Meyer’s ‘The Lunar Chronicles’
I adored this series. I don’t know how an author can come up with a story like this and make it all come together. Each book is a fairytale retelling but they all are part of the bigger story. It’s set in the future and has a sci-fi feel to it. I recommend these to everyone! Even tweens!
#6 J.K Rowling’s ‘Harry Potter’
Harry Potter is one of my all time favorite series. I grew up with them. Waited the long awaited year till the next book came out. .. and then the movies were actually GOOD. I’m not sure how I would feel about these books reading them for the first time as an adult, but I just can’t imagine anyone NOT liking these.
